Welcome to our home.
The First Coast name, as with most of Florida’s other ‘coast’ designations, originally came from a Chamber of Commerce marketing campaign. It was the early 1980’s and the idea was to find a name to encompass Duval, Nassau, St. Johns, Baker and Clay counties. Over the years, the entire northeast Florida region, adding Flagler and Putnam counties to the original five, came to be part of the First Coast region. At last count, more than 1.5 million people called this area home. But to us, it is the beach communities, each with their own personalities, stretching almost a hundred miles long from Fernandina Beach, at the Georgia state line, to the southern end of Flagler County, who make the First Coast come alive. We have been privileged to live, laugh and love in these sands.
